Hey There, Long Time Lurker Here And Just Joined.

I have searched this forum looking for info on changing my lambda sensor.

The fault i get is in O2 BANK 1 SENSOR 1

From what ive read i cant make heads nor tails and keep getting confused.

I know there is one just off the engine plate in the engine bay and then the other on the CAT.

My question is where exactly is BANK 1 SENSOR 1, on the pipe or the one connected to engine.

Its a 2000 MK2, sorry for being a newb

a Mk2 from 2000 will be a Euro3 (i think its called that) emission setup
which has 1 Lamba (o2) sensor

Which is smack back in the fat part of the cat

The one on the "plate" of the engine is confusing me a little....

However, nothing says its had an engine swap - and its now has 2 lamba's

But sicne the punto has 1 exhaust system, Bank 1 - sensor 1 - should be the first sensor on the Manicat

if you had a V block engine for example, you have Bank 1, 2 etc on side of the exhaust system, Bank 2 on the other :)

No Front

Open the bonnet - look down you will see the heatshield and Manicat

If you have 1 sensor it'll be like so :)
(okay google images wont help me - but its same as below but only 1, the top 1)

If you have a twin lamba setup which i dowt
it'll look something like this (this is off a panda, but the panda has the same engine in it :) as the punto is 1.2 8v)
