O/T:my phone wont connect with my pc

the phone is a samsung d900 and the software that came with it was workin fine over a week ago, the cable that goes with the phone seems ok but i think its not registering coz theres no power (ie chargin the phone), the usb ports are fine, i know this because i use my usb drive a lot, the software for the phone is ok and i have even removed the program to install it a few hours later, and the plug on my phone is ok because it the same one for earphones/charger/in car charger,
need to get this sorted as i have pics to use for a guide i`m writin up and pics to post as i have bits to sell/give away, kinda frustrated with my phone right now

BRAVO, why settle for anything less.
