There are 3 basic front lights on most cars:
1)Main beam, also known (to those in the know) as full beam and high beam.
2)Dipped beam, also known as low beam.
3)Sidelights, also known as err, well, sidelights.

I'm with Sabre on this one - it's the logical interprertation 
BTW - I have heard some old codgers refering to sidelights as 'parking lights'
- which is also OK I reckon.
