General Nurburgring...

Jim, it must be something in mounts of an engine or exhaust that causes so much stress to break it. Do you have all catches for the exhaust? Or the engine from Selecta is slightly different and something doesn't work. Did it break in the same place?

Sutjeska

BTW: Tom, who's that dog on the bonnet of civil Panda? Mine is very similar, only with traces of white on black.

OK. MADE eurotunnel and am going to try and make it to london tonight so if any one knows of someone who could do some welding at short notice tomorrow morning?
PLEASE HELP!

I've got a few contacts in the east end or near Rainham which is 6 miles from the dartford tunnel that I can call in the morning.

Sorry Jim I just got home from a night out.

No need for that! Just cut and paste the text you want to translate (or just write it) and go to this site:

I meant the learning german course, I was able to make the original disc work via compatibility wizard ? who would have thought it :)

Jim, if you can make it to Basildon (Essex) you can have Twinky's old back-box to get you home. cheers Damon

edit - also have the rest of the exhaust system if the problem is not the back box.

Jim is currently in Hackney  (yep I could hear the police sirens in the background) with a friend of a friend having the exhaust tack welded, I think they tried to sort a new exhaust which wasn't the plan  but hopefully he'll be on the way to the Ferry soon.

.
We all wish Jim & Sylvia good luck for the rest

of this dramatic-journey. (y)

BTW @ Alan do you remember the question
about flex-part or not ? Should Sylvia have
a stainless-exhaust it is perhaps a good
idea to mount a such flex part.

Regards Tom

Called Jim at about 4pm and he was on his way up the M1 heading for the M6(y)

Been a long time since I was in there 1997 I think :)

Mmm.... I'm on the Autotrader website now!

For Sale, 1991 Fiat Panda 1000S White, 5spd, Radio, 2 owners (one lady for 14 years)83000 miles. Interesting history. $500, Call 07900 ******

But seriously, thanks everyone for all the help. I really would put this down as one of the worst weeks ever. I'm totally liable for all the costs for the BMW and the trackside barriers at the Nurburgring which I'd to stick on my credit card meaning a week in Germany cost me about the same as buying a brand new Fiat Panda:eek:

But likewise it was an amazing week. Complete strangers have come to my assistance at the drop of a hat (or a sending of a text, lol!) and I can't thank the Fiat Panda club of Germany enough for everything they've done. Tom, you made the trip and Grinni, you saved the day!:worship:

I'm going to get some sleep now....

Jim
