hi,
in these instances it's good to swap the 2 x units around.. that'll help diagnose if it's the unit or it's wiring / power supply + earth,

Cheers for that, tried that still no joy. Have now cleaned every connection with electrical spray cleaner, as of now seems to have cured the problem. Fingers crossedhi,

Damn it! just when it seemed I fixed it turned lights on this morning, yellow warning triangle popped on and a warning scrolled across check number plate light!! Got out and gave said light a thump and it worked! Still at a loss as what to do next.....grrrrrr.
double check with handbook to ensure it's of the correct wattage,
as that'll upset the systems " self-test",

Good call, but why should it work fine when I give the unit a thump? Just seems to be a dodgy connection or summat. Think I'll have to investigate a little further.

Swapped old bulb for a new one, BINGO!! no warning on dash and light works every time.
