General Number plate light

Hi guys,
Bought a new light for my number plate and received it this morning. Went to fit it but turns out I've a completely different bulb to what I can find on eBay or the Internet for a mk2 number plate light. If anyone could tell me why I've a different light it'd be much appreciated because all the sellers (including the one I bought it off) say its for a mk1 mk2 99-06 punto. Hi mate,

You want a W5W or 501 (same) bulb for your numberplate light. Its the same as the sidelight bulbs. Looks like they have sent you a 239 festoon bulb.

both my punto's had the 501 bulbs - NOT the feestoon bulb

Because a lot of cars use them

Check uf interior light thats a festoon bulb iirc

Yep interior is festoon but the bulb is lomger one 42mm or 43mm
