Hello i'am French

in a first time sorry for my bad english

I found your forum looking for solutions to my problem

I have a Lancia Ypsilon 1.2 8v elefantino blue 2001 with the crankshaft pulley for driving the timing belt broken, and impossible to find!

Fiat / Lancia dealer said that this part is no longer available (n) Yet this is not an antique: vehicle marketed until 2003 :bang:

true? I came across an incompetent person and / or do not want to get bored to search

is that someone has an idea where I can find this piece?

thank you in advance for your help

Hi , and Welcome..NICE helmet ( bon Casque);)
This is the helmet of Steve Hislop, 11 times TT winner, is a limited edition performed by Arai, I received for my birthday last year, it is numbered 035/500 & only sold in the Great Britain, therefore (in addition to cost) I must be the only one to have in France and it fits well with my wife's car ;) :

I'm sure your bottom pulley will be a common fitment to other 8V punto / Seicento engines,
unfortunately we have NOT had Lancia in the UK since 1994, so our dealers are gone,
maybe ask in the PALIO Section , they are better EU supported on Here,(y)
Bon Chance, Charlie
this piece is not available in Fiat either, as the staff say, because here Lancia is sold by Fiat:mad:

Hi Philippe,

is that a Citroen AX..??

with your pulley, what is theactual damage? - could it be repaired ?
there SHOULD be a Part Number CAST into it,
can you read it??,
also what is the ENGINE number?, this may find other FIAT group vehicles with the same motor,
I would ask in the PALIO section , as "peter -pickup" has a very good knowledge of other FIAT group cars, AND is in a good Lancia market,
bon chance ,
Charlie

no damage to the engine (the pulley broken at very low speed) and the engine (1.2 8v 188A4000) pistons do not touch the valves, normally
I completely disassembled and reassembled everything and now I miss this pulley to continue

the pulley is only written: A481, but I think this is not a reference but only a foundry mark

for me I think it is this part number :

not sure but I have not asked the storekeeper Fiat, thinking somewhere else, in a spare parts dealers

I will return to Fiat for confirmation of the original reference, but I could only next Friday

thank you for your help

Philippe

Sorry I cannot help with the pulley, but your Rover 100 looks a little low at the front. Needs the suspension pumping up. Low suspension can wear tyres and suspension bushes very quickly as well as cause handling issues.

Measure from centre of hub to underside of wheelarch. Front 327mm, Rear 321mm. This is at a nominal 17degrees. See the attached to adjust for temperature. (Notes from a 1989 Rover Metro training course. Now I know why I keep all this stuff.) I believe the measurements were still the same for the later 100.

thank you for your clarification for the rover, but the suspensions were adjusted after the photo was taken in 2011
