First prototype centre cap, hot off the lathe.

I'm just not happy with the step around the edge, I think its time to put the wheel on the lathe and machine it square so I can fit the cap flush with the outer diameter of the central raised section.

Aye. No point in me spending a few hrs making these to be unhappy with them.

tom speaking of laythe's would it be possible for you to take some material out of a brake disc for me? as the guy i normally use cant do it for a month. they are 28.3mm thick and i want to get them down to around 26mm?

Nope, sorry, not a safe thing to do IMO.

Can't you get one the right thickness?

nope not made its for a little custom job im playing with but i cant get disc's the the right size and ofset for the application, that fit between the calipers.

i can get custom ones made at £400 a pop but its cheeper to get an oversized disc on the correct ofset but the wrong thickness and machiene it down!
