not got a red key

hi guys i bought a mk1 brava that didn't have a red key. I know now that i shouldn't have but i can't do anything about that now. Hindsight is a wonderful thing
if i wanted to could i go to a scrapyard and get the relevant bits and assuming the scrapyard has kept the red keys and just swap them into my car.
if so what bits would i need to do this

If there's nowt wrong with the car that needs the red key I wouldn't bother. The trouble and expense of that is more then the car's worth. I've had my Bravo for 7 years and not once needed the key (infact I don't think I have it).

Shhh Matt. Bravos have that strange telepathic sense to kick you in the balls when you are comfortable. Guranteed you will now need a red key in the next few weeks.
As for the original post - I agree with Matt. Dont worry about it now unless you need it.

you only need it if the bits you are talking about replacing get broken. or you lose BOTH your blue keys (what kinda muppet does that ) so no, dont worry about it...

i am only concerned as i bought it for my son and it only had the one ignition key and he's not the most carefull or fastidious person on this planet so i'm just trying to plan for the worst case senario also when he goes to resell it he will have to resell it to a muppet like me lol
