Woah that drive home was something - don't think I've ever had to concentrate that hard on keeping the thing on the road. Country lanes at night + point car + heaviest rain ever = The hardest driving I've ever had to do. The sheet lightning made it all worth while though

The chips didn't let us down... we had chips, chips and more chips! Great to see we had enough people there to make getting a table difficult! Think we'll have to consider a new venue next time - somewhere we can book a table

I thought the lighning was excellent, it let me see where i was going for a brief second .

Totally considering a diesel car now

I've not had to worry about heavy rain and puddles for years... In fact first time I brought the milkbottle out of retirement it stalled on me on the A19 with water spray on it's HT leads.

well i was really looking forward to it and am truly gutted

if i'd of went the keswick way to windermere (which we found on the way back) we would of got there in half the time! and the sat nav led us to wrong side of windermere, i've never rage-driven so bad in my life lol.
but oh well i suppose you learn from your mistakes and nice meetin you lilpip

ben - i had to pull of the motorway for a sudden emergency jimmy riddle and to send a few texts

the motorway was fine going back, but once i pulled of onto my local roads , good job i backed of a smart going under the railway bridge which proceeded to slam on its brakes just before a massive puddle of water right across the road, must have been a good 4 or 5 inches deep

Ah I wasn't sure if that was yourself or Matt I did ring back but it went to answerphone and signal was rubbish at the pub so was probably out of signal half the time

Great day out, great meeting new people, FAR TOO MANY CHIPS!!!! lol, weather was awful on the way back, 50mph and aqua planing slightly, all that concentrating's worn me out lol.

I am probably making it up but I have vague memories of hearing that remote keys for cars can light up white in photos if in use as the camera takes the photo Either that or you have your own personal ghost/ angel/ demon :devil:
