I've recently bought I rear spoiler from tmc Motorsport and over the past week I've managed to finally get it fitted and painted, this is where the problems have started ?
When they've painted the spoiler the paint hasn't gone on properly and the reason it hasn't gone on I was told was because its not an oem product and then when they've stuck it on three days later while washing it it came off and the reason they gave again was it a cheap non oem spoiler and not the way they've done the job.
So what I'm wondering is he giving me BS or is he right, either way I'm not happy with the end result.
Sorry for a long post

MEP is right mate if they had done a propper job i.e. prepped and primed the spoiler correctly the oem or not the paint would have cured and then a coat if lacquer or two.

Further, oem or not if the spoiler had of been fitted correctly it should just fall off. I mean even abit of tiger seal would do the job!

In short mate they are spinning you a line. I hope you get this sorted out mate :)

Regards
Stephen

MEP is spot on I'm guessing the spoiler is plastic or possibly fiberglass but either way it should be fine being painted if prepped properly. As its a small (ish) part like a spoiler you could probably paint it yourself quite easy just a rattle can from halfords would do the trick I'd also go get your money back from the people that painted it wrong in the first place.

I've tried painting one before and just turned out a mess so I thought for £100 pound I would get a decent job, can't see me getting me money back either

I did think they were spinning me a line Stephen, they put it back on with different sealant he told me,but the paint job is still crap.

Can you post some pics mate? Also is this bloke that sprayed it a bloke in a garage that does this sort of thing or is it just a bloke who is trying to make a quick buck but really doesnt know what he is doing?
