Nokia 5800 Phone book & Blue & Me

hi i use a nokia 5800 express music, while driving my blue & me enabled car (Fiat Punto) i connect my phone via bluetooth. it has a facility where i can update my phonebook to the blue & me device which makes easier to make voice activated dialling. i am unable to update my phonebook to blue & me device. when i try to do so the bluetooth gets disconnected automatically. I was able to update my phonebook earlier, but it does not work now :bang:. i tried the same some other mobile and it updates the phonebook fine.

i think the problem is that the first version of phone software allowed the phonebook/contacts update facility to Blue & Me. where as the updated version in the phone software does not allow. Could this be problem.

Hi B bharath, I may have hte answer, I did get some issue when I was setting up my Nokia 5800 phone.

first of all, Please note while you are trying to send your contacts via Bluetooth is will disconnect you from the car. It also did this to me. but once you have marked all you contacts and sent the business cards via bluetooth, then press the button on your steering wheel, image of the phone. it will then automaticly reconnect to the Car. if not just turn then engineer off and back on or turn the blue tooth off and on. will then allow it to automaticly connect, Please note I have updated my phone to the latest firmware for both blue and me and my phone.
Please note I also drive a Bravo not a punto

As said, connect the phone, then go to add contacts, mark all your contacts and send them. You will be disconnected but it will reconnect. Once the send is complete press the phone button. Phone will reconnect.

Make sure you have the 'always allow this device to connect' or whatever it is the phone says - its one of the options in the 5800 bluetooth menu, tap the B&M device and click always allow. make sure you have the engine on but are stationary when you do this.
