under the bonnet....
Hello,

This noise has been there for a few months now but never has it interfered with the car itself, as in changing gears e.g 1-5 and reverse, I've done a bit of research and it could either be clutch release bearing/spring or gearbox bearing (if that's correct, don't quote me on that!).

Here's a video of it I did earlier before it got dark, I'm only enquiring about it at the moment.

It's Punto MK2 2000 (W Reg)

Thanks in advance! :)

Give your clutch pedal a spray with some wd40 to eliminate that
I dont think its that but i could be wrong

I'd suspect slave cylinder been creaky
Or
The release bearing / Spring diaphram not been happy

But that's a creak - not a click, i ran with a creaky clutch for ages again with no consequences

Where should I spray it? behind the pedal? And it won't be a MOT failure?

But thanks again Ziggy that's put my mind at rest didn't want to drive miles from home and clutch fails :D

The Joints To ensure its not just a sticky hinge thats creaking

And im not saying it'll not drop on you
It could be just a dry joint giving you a creak

Trouble is i suspect it to the clutch fork bushings - bit hard tho to soak those if they are the cause

Same issue im having.. so i will be going under the footwell to spray :D

I've sprayed and it's lessen the noise down even solved another issue of mine when turning the steering wheel to the right it made a loud noise not anymore  obviously had something sticking or something along those lines down there, thanks Ziggy122 :D
