No Win No Fee Solicitors

No Win No Fee Solicitors

No win no fee lawyers won't take a case unless they think there is a really good chance of winning. On the other hand, as Chas has posted, watch their fees as they can be as much as 25 -35%.

Even if they say all the compenstion comes to you, it's fairly easy for them to simply ask for two cheques. £2,500 for them and £7,500 for you. That way, instead of them saying you've got £10K, and they're keeping a quater of it, they just say you've been awarded £7.5K, therefore, all of the compensation.

You might be better off looking for a local Solicitors who specialise in RTAs.

If they win, they claim all costs back from the other party ;) So you will still keep all of the compensation you are awarded. As The Beard quite rightly points out, they will only take you on if they are 100% sure of a win.

And if they only win 50% of their cases all they need to do is double their costs and they're still quids in...

Costs are regulated very tightly, they can't just jack the prices up. Each Solicitor is graded, from A to D. Depending on their grade, they have a maximum hourly rate. When they win a case, the judge will order the oposing party to pay full costs (on most occasions) They will only take cases where there is a precident set, and therefore 100% chance of winning.

I personally after seeing a few cases through camps would be a bit weary of them just dont go near leech and co or irwin mitchells....lol

Is that really a name for a solicitors practice? If it is it's very apt!

lol yes it is and they are!! I hate working with them they dont seem to have a clue!! http://www.leech.co.uk/

TBH the solicitors firm thats usual through the insurance company (if they are paying for it) are usually alright. If the insurance company is paying they may not want you to go to another firm. Best thing to do is find out which firm it is and google them. All personal injury claims will fall into the guideliness to how much you can get paid, the only difference is how quickly you get paid. Is there any way in getting a copy of these guide lines. Both father and sister have been made offers, both shocking in my view. I've recieved more than sister has been offered for just whiplash in a rear ender. She's recieved the same and more injuries so thats whats sending alarm bells ringing.
