No never replaced Mike 98000 miles. Aren't they a bugger to get out. Possibly of shearing. Nightmare. Should that show up on the obd test?

Yes, they are a bugger.
Normally, they should show up on obd test if something wrong.
By the way, are there any lights on the dashboard when you can't start?

Yea the engine manage light. That also stays on when I get it running with easy start.
That means there are stored errors. Hook up the obd and see what it says.
