hi guys..whilst driving the engine just cut off. after checking i found that the wirinign to the module were burnt due to the wiring sitting on the distributor. i changed the module (new one) and the ingnition coil (new one) and the rotor (new). still no spark. i am stumped. i don't know ehre else to turn. all help will be appreciated.:bang::cry:

thanks: :cry:i have changed the module on the distributor, put in a new ignition coil, changed the rotor, checked the fuses. replaced the burnt out fuses. still no joy:bang:. the engine turns as per normal but does not kick in. checked wiring too..all other wiring is fine. still stumped:bang::cry::yuck:

there is a spark coming from the ignition coil. felt the spark yesterday.
will change the module today and see what happens.:slayer: getting there..slowly:slayer:

Dude. Pull out ALL the plugs, reconnect them to their respective leads and position them so you can easily see them when turning the motor over. See if you have a good spark on all of them. They may well be fouled and in need of a good clean or replacement. Spark should only occur between electrode and the wee bit that hangs over it.

thanks for all the help dude.:worship:
i finally found the problem. your initial assessment correct. i was rushing like a mad hatter to get this catr sorted. when the wires crossed, they heated the module. thats when the spark cut off. i put a new module which was also blown. the starter coil blew cause of the cross wiring.
i finall got it started last night after getting a good jolt checking the wiring.
thanks for all the help.
