No Pre-Outs

Hi I've got a fairly old (bout 4 years) but reasonably good quality pioneer head unit with Sony 6x9s and Infinity front components in my Sei, and basically I want to put a 10" sub in as well. Only trouble is my HU doesn't have any pre-outs.

Is it possible to wire up a sub and amp with out pre-outs or will I have to buy a new HU first???

You can get speaker to RCA adaptor boxes (bout £4 each),quick easy solution?

So would i run that in parallel to my rear speakers?
