Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction please. I have a 2019 Ducato, the car has been working fine, but when trying to merge onto the highway today it had no power. Accelerator was fully depressed but it just slowly crept up to 100km. When going up a small incline it lost speed. No warning lights have appeared yet. I have an OBD scanner and no fault codes have been found. I have turned it off and let it sit for a while but the issue is still occurring. When taking off at traffic lights, it will get to appropriate revs (although still feels sluggish), but once I'm on the highway it doesn't seem to want to rev past 2k.
The MAF is a component that can be out of parameters but not causing a fault code/DTC whilst providing the symptoms you have
If you unplug the MAF (this should throw up a DTC) the ECU will run on a set of base values to keep the vehicle running. If general performance is restored you’ve identified the area to investigate, whether it be the MAF and/or associated wiring that is causing the problem.
After that you will need to hook it back up to diagnostics and monitor live data for emissions components to see what’s not functioning as it should….
