hey

ive decided to stop doing mods to my 8v Mia , had the car 7 months now and ive spent about £550 on it so far .
Dont see the point in spending loads more cause its just a 8v , gonna keep all my cash to buy a mk1GT or Mk2HGT..

anyway ill post up these pics of the car with the last ever mods , got the windows tinted plus sunstrip and i tinted the side indicators and the rear lights.

comments welcome and how much do you think i should sell it for ?

its done 62,000 miles 2001

How much did you pick up the sporting alloys for, and where from?

The going rate is £200 if in decent nick with OK tyres.

Can get them for cheaper of course (£100, not picked a set up for less but sure others have), or around £250 mint with high spec tyres.

I got my Active Sport alloys for £90, inc four near new tyres, wheel bolts and locking nuts. YOu can get some decent deals if you look round scrapyards and fiat breakers.

As for the car its kinda like what I wanna do, just a basic 8v but just wanna smarten it up a bit then leave it alone. Looks nice as it is (y)

I think that's a smart idea to not spend too much on it considering it's an 8v, but have you ever thought of an engine conversion.

All I'd say you should do really to top it off is colour code the bumpers (I know they are black etc but the colour of the car/gloss) etc. That way it will increase the value of your car when it comes to sell. Looks pretty tidy though.

nah no engine conversions , to much hassle , ive just ordered new door sills so thats it !!!
nothing else..

i'll get it up for sale in the next few weeks , much do you think i should advertise it @ ?

Depends, how much do you want for it realistically?

Always put a higher price and say open to offers, that way you can negotiate and really go no lower than what she owes you!

Money well spent looks miles better now. But your right in saving your money for a better car to begin with!.

As for selling it you shouldn't have much trouble as its economical which is what people are after at the moment! Except me I'm after a 20vt Coupe :slayer:

*Cough* Give me my wheels back then? *Cough*

Put it up at £1800 i would think.

Seems like a fair price, considering condition and mileage. However what is the service history like, has it been serviced recently and when was last cambelt and waterpump change?

I'd say £1,800 too, but don't be knocked down more than £1,600.

Sportings still go for over 2k with ease.

2.4k if everythings spot on i.e. water pump, belt, tensioners done, low miles, years MOT and tax, immaculate bodywork and interior.

i bought my active sports mk2b 04 mint condition for £2100 ...the actual prize was £1990 some thing like that ... but when we got there and test drove it it seemed fine... he then raised the prize ..he goes he raised the prize on the net and when he did not because i checked on the net before visiting him...

did you know why he raised the prize ? because we did not notice that the plastic cover on top of the tires was cracked ....when we got back Leicester we started to hear the noise (n) .... but now i fixed by cutting the cracked bit off lol (y)

oh forget to mention the millage ...it was 3200 ... when i go back and look at autotrader its hard to find it ...there about £2,300 and above.

so thats my story lol :yum:
