no ignition on punto 1.2, and will not turnover

hi everbody,

My partner neft her 1.2 punto mk1 for four days, now there is no power to anything and no ignition lights. also when you turn the key the speedo jumps up to 60 mph. the car has never done this before, i am wondering if the battery is flat.

could be the battery, how old is it?

charge it up overnight and try again in the morning

about four years old, thats my first plan charge it up.
