Technical No Horn

My horn is not working, to be honest not sure it ever did as never used it till
yesterday & nowt.
Recently had a new battery fitted??
Tried the fuses there OK
2003 Ducato 2.8JTD any idea's out there.

Due to its location (under the LH headlight) the horn not working is a common problem on the 244 models. It is prone to water getting inside it resulting in complete failure. Ours is on its 4th now.

I bought another horn, tried it on a spare battery first worked OK
I then fitted it, put one spade onto terminal soon as I went to put
other terminal on the horn blew?? put the connections round the
other way, still went off? without pressing horn.
Any ideas please.

Hi the horn has 2 terminals one is permanent live. The horn push or switch supplies an earth the the horn. Either you switch has become permanently closed or your wire to the horn has been damaged and is touching the body work somewhere. Often caused if you have been doing some work and put a screw through the wire into the body somewhere. Hope this helps if you have not already fixed it. Andy

I have just bought a 2003 Camper on a Ducato 2.8 JTD and found the standard horn was good for a moped. It took me hours to change it for a Fiamm due to the location.
