Hi

Have got an aftermarket stereo in my 1.8 hlx xreg bravo.... it was wobbling a bit in the facia so i pushed it gently back in and then it cut out i then thought "o just a fuse"... then i found out my windows weren't working(electric) neither were- rear fog lights, heated rear screen and mirrors, and also my curtosity light doesn't come on when the doors are opened... but does come on when switched on???

o yea and my central locking has stopped working aswell so it alarms but doesn't lock the doors

I have checked all the fuses by eye for blown ones and all the 2 behind the glovebox the ones under the bonnet and all in drivers side fuse box are fine...

I am really stumped now and black leather seats+ Heat+ no windows= not fun!

Thanks in advance

Adam

Have you checked all the connections etc under the dash down the passenger side way, if i remember rightly when I fitted mine it was a really tight squeeze and i pushed stuff to the left at the back of the unit. maybe there is some sort of connector block thats popped apart?

I dont know electrics though, just an idea :)

A fuse near the battery ?

Contact cleaner on all your commections? Seems to sort out the HGT every time!

dont know will have a look again tomorow if the weather holds up... but no i've checked the fuses by the battery aswell and all of them (4is there) look fine so have no idea

Hi!

Checked you've not raked off earth point 22 (7-10 black wires dependent on model) on the LH side of the instruments/dash assembly - this earths a large number of ancillary circuits including the ones you've got problems with!

Forget Haynes when dealing with Italian electrics, you need the oem Fiat Manuals - do you have a copy of these?

Let us know how you got on & I'll try and write up a better guide for you if needed!
