Dear 500L users,
Concerning my 'new' 500L (the 2018 one, not my classic 1971 one), I notice since quite a while that the lower speaker in the front left door does only give high frequency tones and no low ones. The little high frequency speaker at the door handle does it OK. And the lower 'main' speaker does give high tones as well... So no cable interruption I guess. I checked the cable connector at the door hinge, disconnected it and sprayed with contact cleaner, but this did not change a thing. I was surprised by the number of contacts in that connector. Almost about 20 or so! All other speakers work fine over the full frequency spectrum.
So I'd liked to check the cable at the radio side. But how do I remove or open it? Or other ideas about the origin of this phenomenon? My 500L is the 'Connect'-type of car, with the 7" display. Kind regards, Frans
