would you not take Sylvia. If worst senario happens and you lose Sylvia through fire or pestilence theres still a story in it for the club.

No, Stuart. Now be honest. Your just hoping for Fire and Pestilence as it makes a better story!!! :D

But I do see your point and yes I'd love to take our wee car with me (Mmm, Alan on the other hand......) and the Italian Flags may come in very handy in New York!

We'll see how you get on with it over the next year....

Jim

i put 2 berth cabin, because i know you would need a 2 berth cabin for you and alan. the space for the cars is not in a container, instead its a RORO platform which will be perfectly safe (i used to work on a RORO ship).

They haven't actually set where FFO is going to be for 07 yet (it's in Detroit next July and I'd love to go cause it would be so close to Canada but there's just no way I'll have the money for it all)

But as most memebers are East Coast where ever they go it has to be accessable from there.

Jim

I'm still waiting on people to get back to me....:(

Anglo Pacific - Sorry we don't do cars unless your moving house (???)

Heyns - Still waiting on a call back

Autoshippers - Still waiting on anything back

Sometimes its hard to believe that people actually want my money:confused:

Anyone else that I could try?

Jim

Oh, and we've moved it up to july 06 as Detroit is really handy for Tornoto and New York and it means we can get the sites in like Boston, New England, Washington, New York etc.

Jim

Right in between trying to sort Juppy out, I've given Sylvia the once over to see what she needs, thanks to Jim wanting to move his next adventure up a year.
So far she needs
2 Front Shocks, (I know it's America and they don't bends but it keeps her right)
Brake master cylinder, (It's working but it's not the best).
"Erm" a roof rack.
Compass, (for pointing Jim in the right direction).
New stickers. "Belfast to America" or Belfast to the USA"
New M Stewart stickers located on the rear quarter panels this time, (because Jim kept hiding them in the pictures everytime he got his picture taken sitting on the bonnet).
New plug leads.
Possible fuel tank with in tank fuel pump (to try to get to the bottom of Sylvias chugging). I'm thinking the electric fuel pump isn't pumping enough causing fuel starvation.

So far she has had a new thermostat, plugs headlight bulbsand the timing moved a little.

i have a spare master cylinder you can have for the cost of postage and packing if you want it. its the old one off my selecta (i fitted new one but it wasnt needed). also it might be best to call the journey 'from Ireland to America' (some people in america might not know where belfast is).

Thanks for the offer on the cylinder Chris, very kind of you, but due to the distance Jims going and the neck he has for things happening I am going to fit a new one.

I doubt there's few people in the world let alone America who hasn't heard of Belfast by now. :D
