Coupe newbie

Hi guys
new to this forum but on loads of others. just bought a fiat coupe 20v turbo and mot;d it today. very nippy but just cant catch the Nissan 300zx lol

Depends which 300ZX you're comparing against....

With a bit of modding, a Coupe will easily stay with even the most powerful standard 300 (but how many standard 300's are there - they'll have been modded too)

A heavily modded Coupe will make a stock 300 look silly, but it doesn't come cheap

I'd imagine so, had it for a run today and its got grunt.


So much to do to get more bhp. not one for tuning but you've me inquisitive

I didn't think I'd want to tune the engine either - 220bhp seemed plenty when I first got it. However, its an extremely slippery slope and now, when I floor it, I sometimes find myself thinking "480bhp just isn't enough....."

Knowing what I know now, I'd do it differently - a 20VT with a small but punchy turbo and a remap will give around 300bhp and be just as quick as my own 480bhp in 99% of everyday circumstances. In some circumstances, the lower-powered car will be faster, as it'll spool a lot earlier.

I Like the 300s but very heavy and don't handle great. It's another lovely sounding engine though.
