Newbie with doblo cargo van

Hi everyone.. Hope someone can help..
I have a 2005 fiat doblo cargo van 1.3 diesel.
The problem i have is that i could be driving around all day no problems.. i park up, come back and it wont start.. it cranks over but just wont fire up... If bump started it will fire up straight away.. any ideas guys? Its driving me mad..:bang:

Hi. Many potential causes..

Bad earth cable.. low pump pressure.

Failing battery starter.

Someone mentioned low pump pressure the other day.. how do i check that? or would it need checking at a garage?

The HP PUMP relies on engine speed..
If it cranks slowly..the lower RPM doesnt help.

Bump starting can boost RPM..


Try using jumpleads..to see if it cranks quicker..IMPROVES EARTH CONNECTION.
