I just wanted to say a big hello and thank you top everyone on this forum. It's been a big help already. I have just bought a Grande punto sporting 1.4 16v, in caribean orange, only option was sunroof.


Will post pics, soon, its absoloutly gorgeous, love the blue & Me, and the sky dome is super.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes, so far loving my car. However I have it booked into the dealer. I have this stange groaning sound which seems to come from the rear of the car. I can not tell for the life of me, if it is the brakes or steering? Any help would be appreciated. I have read the forum, but am unsure which problem, mine come under.

I get the groaning noise when I am braking, but I was parking, so was not sure, but on the approach to a round about yesterday evening, braking made it groan. I am quite worried, is the car safe to drive?

I haven't experienced that before so can't say for sure, but I doubt its serious enough to cause safety concerns. Having said that the brakes squealing is a known problem (https://www.fiatforum.com/grande-punto/89495-known-faults-problems.html) and I do remember seeing posts about this so have a browse around, or alternatively other GP folks here should be able to help
