Hi, just bought a Black 1997 1.8 16v HLX Bravo yesterday so I thought I would join up, sight looks very nice (y)

Couple of questions...

How the hell do I turn off my heated front seats, its nearly summer!!!!!
Also, is there any way of raising my driver seat? As in up and down (not back n forward)...

Cheers (y)

Hello and welcome

Have you checked out the Bravo/a section to help with ya questions?

I want heated seats

Hi and welcome, the heated seats are operated by a switch on the left hand side of the drivers seat (underneath) and on the right hand side of the passengers seat if you put your hand just under the seat bottom you will find the push type switches in there respective corners, as to lifting the driver's seat there should be a lever on the right hand side of your driver's seat (nearest the door) which you pull up or push down to raise or lower the seat

Cheers guys, I did manage to find the answers by using the search function. Im absolutely lovin the Bravo, it looks and feels so new :)

Got another one for you...

The airbag light is permanently on and the plastic panels look like they have been taken off before (infront of your right knee lol). Also, the steering tends to drift to the left so I am unsure wether it will be the tracking or whether he has had the steering wheel off before I bought it... Whats the easiest way to find out? Cheers :)

Airbag warning light is a common fault on the Bravo/a, it can be fixed by taking it to a garage and getting it plugged into a diagnostics machine to clear the fault (usually about £40). Alternatively you can simply remove the bulb from the dash to get rid of the annoying light. However be warned that as far as I know the airbig WILL NOT work if the warning light is on!

The panel you're referring to sounds like the fuse box cover, it has 2 large crosshead screws which lock/unlock the cover.

Pulling to one side usually indicates tracking out, easiest way to check really is get it to a garage and ask them to check the alignment for you quickly. Mine's out slightly but hasnt really been an issue except for at higher speeds on the motorway where you notice it drift slightly (I really should get my tracking done )

Hope that helps :)

I've got a HLX and had an intermittant drivers heated seat some days it would work others it wouldn't. So i decided to strip and replace, costing me no more than £50 for both seats.

Bunny if you want heated seats do it yourself, heres a guide i did when i was replacing my heated seat elements.
