General Newbie help

Hi,

As i just said in the 'Newbie Central' thread, i know nothing about cars so please be gentle with me.

My partner recently bought a 1.4 T-JET 120 Sport and i have a few questions about maintaining it etc.

Firstly, the black plastic on the doors, they look a little faded. Is there something that can be done to bring them back to looking new-ish? If your not sure what this newbie means, i can try and post pics at a later date.

What about the seats? Any advice on cleaning those?

I have a few other questions, but i'll save those for now.

And remember, i know squat about cars and all the technological words that go with them, so if you can help a numpty that would be great.

Can't say I know what you're on about with the plastic bits on the doors, so a pic would help.

What seats have you got, leather or standard?

Sorry i should have been clearer. I meant the black plastic strip thing on the outside found between the front & rear doors. Not sure what it would be called sorry, what a newbie eh? :bang: I will still try pics later if you don't get me.

And the seats are standard.

Buy a black plastic care spray or wax for the door trim and there is also a foam spray for the seats.

You can find those pretty much everywhere.

Those are multi-purpose products, you can use them on any plastic in the car.

You can even get the plastic cleaning spray sented so that it doesn't smell like a factory inside your car.
