Seicento newbie hello

Hello. Just bought my first fiat.
A Seicento sx 899cc. lovely condition and really enjoying the drive.
Bought as a day to day car for me to get to work.
Joined the forum and the wealth of knowledge is great.
Its on a T reg and my only concern is a kind of electricy/whiny noise when the engine is running but it is not linked to the revs and is constant, any thoughts would be appreciated. cheers

The noise doesn't come from under the rear seat does it?

Hello, just got a siecento active sport for my daughter who will hopefully pass her test in a few days and I'm trying to get it ready, it's a 53 plate with 35000 miles, great little car, very clean and tidy, just one fault tho, the power steering is playing up when going slow and turning left or right, and stationary, feels like the power steering is struggling to work as it should, steering very stiff and I can here the electric motor, any ideas what the problem is, I've had the battery checked at the motor factors with a machine and it's good, pretty new too, I've had the multimeter on the battery when car is running, it's 14.3 v, but when I turn steering it drops to 13.6, would I need to change motor or rack,?? Any help or advice would be much appreciated thanks
