500 (Classic) newbie HELLO -HELP

Hello all I have a classic 500 with the ignition switch on the steering column does anyone know how to take the switch out from the steering lock with out damaging it? best regards Darren

Hi Darren and Welcome! It has been a while (20 years?) since I have played with a 500 steering lock but usually there is a small hole underneath the lock carrier- if you insert a small screwdriver and push upwards while turning the key to ACC or Run position it should release the lock to pull it out of the carrier towards you.
