Cinquecento Newbie 1.2 8v Cinq

Hey everyone, I bought my Punto engined Cinquecento 2 days ago and noticed that the car had Fiatforum.com stickers in the windows, seems like a great place so I thought I would join

I don't have any decent photos of it yet but I will upload some when I do,

Not sure how well this car is known but it was called "black betty" by the previous owner haha. I am having some teething problems with the car and I am hoping that this is the place to turn to And I will try to help other people on the forum as best I can!!!

I used to own it, a lad called Andy on here bought it from me in february, he sold it not long ago and as i understand it the guy you got it from has just changed the head gasket.

and yes she is called black betty, or at least that what i called her.

I know andy through the modified car scene but I bought it from someone else who had bought it to sell on (who had done the head gasket) Unfortunately I can't seem to post a question about one of the little niggles i have

Might have been my works computer giving me grief, but yeah shes still going! drives spot on apart from a little niggle regards starting/low revs.

She better when cold but can be hard to start at the best of times, and at lower revs she tends to bog allot and barely pull, or if you use anything over 1/2 throttle below 3,500/4,000 rpm, And seems to be using a fair amount of fuel, Plus I am not sure but it smells like shes over fuelling a little.

Any help would be great! I am a complete newbie to this and I have spent the past couple of days constantly reading up on cinqs and the 1.2 60 engine swap!

Haha yup I am new to the forum but the Cinq isn't, Got to admit it has been by far one of the most fun cars I have ever had and thats only on day 2 of owning it!

Gonna sort out running issues first (wanna keep her healthy!) but after that i will be wheel hunting, not sure yet, saw some old pics of her on lancia delta wheels and they looked awesome!

Have a look at post 4, I put a link there. Either that or use the dropdown on the black bar at the top of the page to choose Cinq/Sei. Once there, click on the New Thread button and away you go
