Hi guys

finally got the chance to register as a BOO member this week. looking forward to getting some of the wicked discounts avaliable.

Bit of info on my Bravo

1.2 80SX Lichen Green. owned her since end of july last year. bought her with 69000 miles now on 73000 and running reasonably well.... paid £1200 with Sony MP3 HU thrown in as well.

i'm based in lincoln so any members or guys in the know that could give me a bit of info on a couple of things would be a great help.

Pics and Questions

1: anybody know anywhere i can get hold of some marea door handles, heard they last much longer and as u can see, mine are falling apart.

2: Nasty dent. been told panel needs replacing completely but not convinced, anybody know any dent specialists

3: Interior light doesn't work on both sides or when doors open. one side switch only. iv checked wiring but doesn't seem to be a problem

4: CD Changer for standard radio. iv seen one of the compatible sony changers on ebay for around £75. anyody know where i can get the leads and a good place to get them both installed??

5: Marea headlights: REALLY WANT THESE point me in the righ direction

6: Fogs, Liked the look of Griffys front fogs. where did you get them mate and how much?

Love the alloys and the Marea Front Grill looks really good on your car!!


The handles are a common problem... as for the interior light... maybe getting a replacement from a scrappy might solve the problem.


Marea bits do come along.. just have to wait and look around a bit


There are a few members in Lincoln so if you wanna join us at any meets you can be safe in the comfort older members can lead you in a mini convoy.... the big convoys are amazing tho!!!!!!

just thought id mention the speakers before someone got there first. they cam out the back of an old bmw 3 series for a fiver, cant go wrong there.....

As for the alloys iv never seen those on another bravo but they seem to be on puntos all over the place, are they a standard upgrade for the bravo or just pinched from a punto?

regarding the light...

the switches work on a slider plate system. recently the side which controls the lights coming on when the doors open stopped working and I was uber confused.

basically you will have to strip the light unit right down and remove the little metal bit which touches the plates to make the circuit. it will of got stuck, either widen the hole to make it move up and down or in my opinion get another unit as its a right fiddly job!

The standard Bravo wiper looks more tidy IMO.

couple more questions.

1: regarding the Rear wiper, i think its from a punto don't know why thats how it came but the screen washer keeps breaking. sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt. i can hear the motor wirring but no fluid comes out. just a load of it when i open the boot, any ideas??

2: where would be the best place to install a changer, boot or under the passenger seat
