Nice One Nige!!!! Wish I could have a two seater!! It's no good though - my bloke won't even entertain the idea cos he thinks I'll go out on the pull and leave him babysitting at home! Hehehe!
No Jonathon, LHD only but DTR will convert it for £3,500!
I agree about the wheels - tomorrow I am going to see if the HGT wheels will fit it and swap them over after I have sprayed the Barch ones black!
Ryan, there is huge amounts of grip and left hand turns can be taken all wheels squeeling. Right hand turns are taking some getting used because its LHD and I feel a bit vulnerable whizzing into corners with trees whacking past my ear at the moment - but I am sure I will get used to it. Being a passenger with my wife driving it is not recommended though...she still thinks she has to be in the middle of the road and consequently I am the other side of the white lines!
The engine is superb, she sounds so much better than my HGT and although she has 25 BHP less you dont notice it as the car is so light. Better acceleration in low gears than the HGT - I have only had 90 so far, I am not confident enough of her yet to push harder.
FANTASTIC - 10 times better to drive than a MX5 and 50 times better looking and better to drive than the MGF TT I had a drive in! Insurance is a bit high because of the LHD - its the same price as the Jag 6.0 V12!
You will get used to the LHD - I did in my last car and actually found it much better for parking etc.... My bloke never got used to it but he only used to drive it at weekends whereas I took her to work and back everyday. When I got the Bravo it took me a little while to get used to driving RHD again!
I do like Barchettas. I even like the wheels: they remind me of the Fiat Spider Abarth wheels. Clearly, it'd be a mistake to modify a car as pretty as that. But it might be funny to paint the bonnet matt black...
