Styling new punto mk2 owner wants a custom boot build.

My boot build is still in early stages, i have so far needed

- jigsaw
- large rectagle of MDF (B & Q)
- pencil
- wood glue
- 12" sub with standard box
- several screws
- Alpine 6 x 9's
- Amp

and next i have to put the 6 x 9's into the MDF floor and then retrim it in Blue carbon vinyl, then just get a few LED strips Hope that helps

i've always wanted to make a boot build but i simply use my boot too much for me to have one anyone want me to come round and give them a hand? im pretty handy

What is the point of doing all the hard work making the build if you are going to use rubbish products, Sony Xplop and Juice are utter crap and 6*9's belong in a bin.

some people dont have the budget to be spending hundred's or thousands on a boot build/ install. They just want to make the best of what they have to hand. It's not as if they are building them to win any shows or competitions, they are making them for the experiance and enjoyment.

Sony Xplod arent as bad as some people make out either... i used to run an amp in mine and it created a real punchy sound. I agree 6x9's are crap, but if your using them in a low cost boot build they are perfectly fine and acceptable imo

yes, I quite like JBL, decent for the money. But what sort of stuff are you saying to put in? Generally people put 6x9's in for loudness, which is what they give- they arent doing this for top notch sound quality. This is me trying to justify 6x9's anyway, so long as they arent in the parcel shelf

i got my subs and amps installed, nothing fancy, but they are ****ing (excuse my french) insanely loud. sounds real dope.

the guys that installed it for me, said i should get another head unit though. at the moment ive got a BLAUPUNKT CASABLANCA MP56, which I thought was dope when i copped it from halfords. It does look the part, but I need a ALPINE, PIONEER or a SONY.

i used to have 1000w 6 x 9's and they sounded so dope. no doubt im putting the same ones back in. they are seriously really loud. at the moment all i can hear bass. lol.
