No i dont think they will, and if they did they would look pretty crap. In my opinion its only worth having front flaps anyway, as these keep the crap off the side of your car, not that these will fit a 100hp either.

As for only needing them on the front, I have to disagree. The van-like rear end of the Panda means that the back window quickly becomes covered in road grime when driving at higher speeds. I often drive from M6 J7 to J6 and in a couple of miles, the wash-wipe needs to be used several times during poor weather.

Let's face it though, all mudflaps make a car 'look' slower [apart from a WRC car, perhaps] :D

It's miles away from the manifold, so there is no problem, but will let you know if it starts melting. :)

Have you never heard of heatsoak? Doesn't matter if the filter isn't touching the manifold, the filter is directly above the manifold and heat rises obviously so everytime you stick your foot down its sucking in a whole lot of hot air, On a hot summers days it could be detrimental to performance, try locating it down near the drivers side front wheel arch (look up GSR Induction kit).

That's only an issue though when you are standing still. Not such an issue when you are moving. It's worth remembering that the temperature inside the engine is going to be significantly more than the ambient air around the engine bay anyway.

I seriously wouldn't advise sticking it low down like the GSR, really as the chance of ingestion of water is significantly increased. Not worth the risk. Also the longer the induction piping the more restrictive it will be.

I have never had issues with the GSR in that position, and nor has Gary.

Just don't drive through streams!!! ;)

Mine has been through heavy rain, puddles, etc - not an issue. Most of the time the problems of water ingestion occur is when it is blindly obvious there is a flood....

Usually agree with your comments Queeny, but the physics of this does not agree with this one. Longer pipe before the throttle butterfly can have a subtle effect on the engine's performance and more so in conjunction with an ignition timing change (remap), but it does not inherently mean a loss of performance through restriction unless a particularly small diameter tube is used or something.

In fact, I have RR graphs giving proven gains.
Although this argument is done to death and I'm sure you can see some peak power improvements on a graph, it should be noted that GSR intakes in general also employ a pulse tuning technique that appears as bumps in the tube, so this adjusts the physics more than just a straight tube.

I guess it's less the length (though if it's overly long it won't help) than the number of bends etc which could be more of a factor.

I called K&N today & they have assured me that there is nothing wrong with having the airfilter over the 100BHP manifold. They do a few tests inc a "heat" test which shows no gain in temp on hot days etc.

Have to remember the standard airfilter is sitting over the engine and that is enclosed in "Plastic".

I may buy a few Silicone Hoses from http://www.samcosport.com/uk/index.asp and change the direction of the air-filter. :)

u need a gsr kit in your life there awesome:) don't listen to to people like trackdayqueen who i think spends more time on here than actually driving the 100hp:)
