Well, I say it's new - it's an 05 plate with 3500 miles. Everything seems fine, and a great car it is too, except for the radio/cd, and the wipers.
The Radio tends to loose Radio 1 very easily (bizarre seeing as it keeps the ohter stations fine), and the CD will skip if I hit a pothole or the like at any kind of force.

As for the wipers, with the single push wash/wipe, the wipe doesn;t work. All we get is the water. I checked the manual and it's somewhat vague, saying something like "when the salk is pushed, the washer jet is implemented", giving no indication of whether there is actually supposed to be a wipe, as well.

Can anyone tell me if these are defects or "features". I suspect the latter (and I have searched, but can't see any mention of my problems), but you never know.

Thanks for the replies, chaps.

Yes, it's the original CD, so I guess it's a "feature", then :)

But as for the wash/wipe, just tried it, and if I pull the stalk towards me for three seconds or longer, the water just keeps coming, but no wipe. The only way I can get it comfortably to do it is pull the stalk back and up, so it wipes and squirts. Guess it'll have to go in.

Again, many thanks, chaps.

My multi doesn't wipe - I don't know of anyones that do.

I don't mind though as I like to get a nice jet of water before the wipers. So i squirt, and then flick up for a manual sweep.

From memory, pushing forward does indeed do the back washer (which wipes automatically).

So, following what Captain Creasey says, can anyone else confirm that the Multipla doesnt automatically wipe when the stalk is pulled towards you?

MAny thanks. Guess it must be a feature, then. At least I don;t have to take it in to get it sorted.

Yes, Mine does not wipe when I wash either. I have to move the arm down to activate it.
But I like it that way. I like being able to wet the windows first as I feel it helps prevent the grit from being rubbed in the glass.

Tried old & new multipla today...neither wash/wipe....guess tech manual is wrong then:rolleyes: As mentioned at least you get water up top of screen as my cars wipe to quickly & water only gets to bottom of screen.
