Hi new member, been on here couple of weeks just doing some general reading about the 100hp. But has been in the garage for last week having belts changed, climate control not working (still not), and rear brakes due to sticking (Halfords haven’t a clue what they’re doing).

Going to be the run about/occasional track days as consumables on the Boxster are outrageous:LOL:. Plans are some b12, braided lines, ds2500 all round and all fluids changed.

Body work could do with some paint but for what I’m going to use it for it’s perfect and defiantly fits the bill. Looking forward to some meets and drives.

If the climate problem is a dash control fault..its NOT a simple fix

But..a few experts are around to save @12 hours workshop time (y)
Cheers it’s just come back, they welded in an Allen key as the actuator rod was snapped but still no hot air

The back brake calipers seize up or the hand brake lever seal starts leaking. Special tools are needed to get the circlips out. New callipers are not expensive -

You might no need these -

Pads and discs if needed

Brakes are sorted now, it did go in to Halfords prior to my ownership and pads were on the wrong way.

Cool

I take it from your first post

Everything is sorted now except for the climate control

The most common failure is the blend flap gets broken off, not an easy fix. The second most likely is the ears on the actuator which is relative easy

If you post the symptoms we should be able to diagnose the problem for you

Correct, basically there’s no heating just ambient temp or with the AC on it obviously blows out colder. No issues with fan speeds. But it’s going back in this week when I get time to drop it off

I am not 100% sure on this as I have not tested myself

set climate to hi
face and feet
Fan on full
Then press the recirculate you hear a click and get hot air
Then reduced the fan to 4 and cold air returns

The blend flap has snapped
