Uno New Member - Possible Mods for a Fiat Uno 60 Mk1 (1116cc)

Good afternoon Fiat enthusiasts.

I inherited my grandfathers right hand drive Fiat Uno 60 Mk1 a couple years ago, loved the car for a good few years, but the guide seals ended up perishing so I took the head off and was planning on doing some upgrades to the engine while I am at it (wanted to bore out the cylinders, better camshaft, etc).

I believe the builder plate on the car said the engine code is: 146A4.000 (146AZ45A)

What can be done on it? And is there any place I can get the parts from in Portugal or Europe?

Planning on sharing more about the cars many stories during my time on this forum.

Hi. Welcome. I’m also in the keep it original camp. It’s only original once
Shame your so far away, as I have a set of original MK1 Fiat Uno wheeltrims in my shed.
Surplus to requirements as Manda now has the correct trims.

Have fun in it, what ever you decide to do.

Sadly the car hasnt been original for quite a bit, it looks good on the outside but on the inside it has no sound deadening as it started falling and my grandfather just removed it.
Is it normal for the gearboxes to be weak on these Unos? During the lifespan of the car, it has had about 3 gearbox changes.
