Hi, I have a 2003 Reg motorhome with a Ducato 2.8jtd engine. Sadly one of the high pressure diesel injector pipes has fractured, and I am unable to source spares. I rang my local Fiat trucks dealer and he tells me these parts are no longer made. The part number I am told is 504070031. Can anyone advise where I could get a set of these, please or can they be made?

Have a word with these blokes, plus just google it! I searched 'bespoke replacement injector pipes'. Depends where you are, and if old one is usable as a pattern, unless they have done one before in which case they may have details? Bit worrying if they are not mde any more, there are loads of these engine about! Let us know how it goes, please.

Thank you for that link. I have googled their web page and it has given me some optimism. I will keep you posted

They'll want to make a full set, which is a good idea, as they will all have work hardened the same over time.
With a mechanical injection system, all four pipes need to be the same length, which is why they take strange routes from pump to injector. So take care, remove as a set, all still joined together, and package carefully to avoid transit damage.

Interesting, but WindingRoad's vehicle is described as a 2.8jtd, which will have an electromagnetically controlled injection system.

With electronic injection, it should have a fuel rail, so not the separate injector pipes I had in mind. Perhaps the one leaking is from the high pressure pump to the rail, but I'd expect only one of those, but it is described as 'one of'. Whatever it is, hopefully the experts from the link will sort it, as that appears to be what they do.

Have to admit that I'm a bit ignorant of the workings of an engine. What I know is that the high pressure diesel injector pipe in my engine is like a rigid metal pigtail and there are 4 of them. Whether it's manual or electro magnetically controlled is beyond me, sorry.
Just to update, I rang Richards Bros this morning. The guy I spoke to was very helpful, but to cut a long story short they couldn't do anything. He suggested I get the full engine number and ring Iveco. Other than that he suggested I look out for someone breaking up an engine☹️
All this is unbelievable when you consider how many vehicles on the road, here and internationally, have this engine

Hi
Regardless whether it is a 2.8 idTD - mechanical injection pump or the 2.8 JTD common rail they are both Iveco engines as used in their Iveco Daily models. I can''t see that the injection system parts themselves would be any different in a Ducato, so I would be contacting a Iveco dealer after you find out exactly which engine you have - idTD or the JTD common rail? If it was built in 2003 it would have to be a JTD.
Cheers

Update...Rob in the spares department of the Newcastle branch of North East Trucks and vans, went the extra mile in customer service and rang round other places and found a set of new pipes in Southampton. I could have cried with joy and needless to say snapped them up. They are now on my motorhome and it's working perfectly.
Thank you to everybody for your help and input.
