I've just got my car back from the sprayshop after getting all my previous home-spray attempts fixed properly!! (Spoiler, mirrors, rear wiper- Don't try it at home kids!), plus got my rear reflectors smoothed over! It's quite a subtle difference, but it's the main thing that's bugged me about the rear view of the Bravo for ages!

This season, with all the road crap that covers your car within seconds of leaving the driveway, a fresh wax is so satisfying, especially when every single other car you pass is filthy!
Bet it wont last long tho :(

MOT is due in a couple of weeks, hope they don't notice! (Sure they wont)

She`s lookin very very clean I`m Jealous, ;)
if the doo u can get the little gay lookin ones that go onto the number plate just for the mot,

Pete

looking good mate. even the small think like the handles have done wonders really smart

Cheers, the handles are only Brava ones painted with 'dark chrome' wheel paint. Contemplating the Alfa handle conversion, but they're soooo expensive at about £55 a side!

i've always liked your car - the colour and with those wheels - looks really nice!

i like what you've done with the smoothing of the reflecters, and the handles look smart! :)

I think that the MOT people might take a dim view of having no reflectors. It used to be a legal requirement, but I'm not sure what the legal position is now.

Its a nice mod but rest assure that the car will be VERY difficult to see on a dark unlit road.

Just be careful at night where you park it up.

my reflectors are smoothed off too. not had to MOT it yet, but i doubt very much they'll notice, or check. most cars have them built into the rear light clusters, ao the MOT tester is unlikely to look for reflectors anyway...

I want to die peacefully in my sleep, just like my gran did, and not screaming like her passengers were!

of course, you still need to flush the boot handle and lock off ;)

If the parked car was hit (at night, by another) could the insurance company refuse to pay if they could prove that the reflectors were missing?

they'd have to prove that the reflectors you stuck on afterwards, weren't there when the accident happened :D Its unlikely that your parked car will be hit fron the rear anyway. and you dont have reflectors on any other side of your car!!!

and.... ?

What about fitting the Brava style rear reflectors to the Bravo? A bit neater than the Bravo ones.

Or fit some reflectvive material inside the rear light clusters. (assuming they are not blacked out :) )

they are quite tidy. couldn't you just put a bit of reflective tape along the bumper?

After nearly smashing into a car parked on a very dark country road last night because it was parked face on hence had no reflectors i dont like the idea of any car not having them, i guess it's ok as long as you do NOT park on the road in darkness where they are needed, And drive around in dusk etc with your lights on

i can understand what you are saying syB but so what if the car doesnt have reflectors, you have headlights! you should notice a car parked in the road... i dont think the rear reflectors make any difference really, if i remove my next ones i will probably fit sometning in the rear light to be safe!

could spray over them in the colour of the car and then light can still be reflected and it will still look good!

I am obviously asuming people know that they should only put a light couple of layers on?

How easy is it to get the covers off the rear lighs? They're sealed on with something aren't they?

I was thinking if I could find something suitable (Maybe from a bike shop or something), and preferably small and round I could mount a little reflector (or two - maybe make a nice feature of them somehow!) inside the rear light cluster.

Since getting rid of them I have been wondering about whether or not it's necessary to have reflectors, but putting anything permanent on would kinda defeat the object of taking them off!

Trust me the rear reflectors make a hell of a lot of difference!! If i had the time i would go and take two pics to show you what this road is like very silly place to park wrong way round,

in fact on way home noticed the car had a wing mirror missing, maybe just coincidence,
