Spreading his doors after a long Leeds - Perth trip on half a tank.
If the mk1 was in an original colour that would be beyond epic. Still. Nice little mantle piece non the less :D

well that model is currently booked in for a "respray" got a rattle can of the Punto silver.

will be going on the dash of the silver punto in the photo above.

ive got a Red sporting mk2b model on delivery.

dont let puntos get too close to each other, they reproduce like rabbits....

I would like the abath badges... but...

I'll be replacing the front grill will Badgeless. and i'll like to keep the rear one as FIAT.

If anything i will be updating the rear badge to the new Red oval badge to match the Grande theme that im going with. =)

But yeah, its really growing on me, it was such a pain to sort out i thought that i wasn't going to like it at all. but im really happy with it (y)

mate it looks like a jeep! lol get them springs on :p

In time my friend...

after a trip to the optition tomorrow i will be getting the front springs off. the car will be off the road for a day to get it done as im anticipating problems will rusty bolts and stuck metel.. got an HUGE bottle of rust remover and something called PB blaster (expanding foam rust removal stuff) (y)

Car is going to have to have some repairs to it :(

Passenger door blew into a wall in strong winds bending the metal in such a way that the door cant close

going to temporally bend the metal back so that i can close the door. but im guessing that i might be in the look for a Sprint Blue passenger day

That's crap news, The wind is terrible down here too... I can't even begin to imagine what it's like further up north.

Shouldn't be too hard to get another door from a breakers?

Do you think your current door is able to get bent back into shape?

I should be able to bend it back, but the paint is chipped and the metal is quite badly deformed.

if i can get it reasonable i just need to source Sprint Blue paint.

The wind here is really bad. in the space of 24hrs 4 HGV's have overturned on the exact same stretch of the M62 in Castleford. i was stuck in the que after the first, was quite glad that i wasnt involved after i found out i was 600 yards behind the truck, never saw it flip but saw cars swerving

Are you sure that it is Sprint Blue? I ordered a Fiat touch up stick assuming that it was Sprint Blue - I had checked but got the 462 / 264 codes mixed up - only to discover that the colour was wrong.

If your car is Sprint Blue 462/A I can let you have a Fiat touch up stick for less than half price!

I'll check the code and PM you tomorrow. I presume yours is the one on Classifieds. was going to get in touch with you anyway if so (y)

Am i right in thinking its on the bonnet on a MK2b

As far as im aware its sprint blue. its been parked next to a sprint blue punto before and they look almost identical, if not mine is slightly darker.

Mine is 264 Pole Blue (or Blue Pole =S) as well. :bang:

so calling up Fiat tomorrow asking them to get me a 264 touch up stick in for me.

got most of the bend out. got out a pair of pliers out and pulled in back to shape. not perfect but the metal isnt as damaged. once its touched in should be fine (y)

I would still do a test patch sumwhere discreate. Hopefully the patch that you need to sort is not too big because it is a real pain to try and get an exact coulor match even with the correct colour code pen.
