Spreading his doors after a long Leeds - Perth trip on half a tank.
i would just say pal that u got to be careful jetwashing ur wheels cos u can break the laquer on them and then may get pitted with all the road salt and crap

I know, dont worry, I used the hose without a jet adapter. so was just a powerful spray, good for removing dirt.

K33K0 - the engine bay looks completely differnt now. ive moved the iduction away from the radiator to underneath the powersteering pump. will post a photo another time for you.

yh no power steering pump on puntos its all electic

I know that. Its some servo behind the battery that looks awfully like the Powersteering Module on my old SEAT. On all the photos ive seen on here never seen it on another punto. either that or ive not noticed.

In this photo its in the top, left of centre behind the battery?

tbh mate..i think its better there in the cld air flow isnt it?? cold aire from bumper vents directly on it that close to bumper??

if your scared of heat from manifold and rocker cover then cover the manifold in exhaust bandage designed for the heat and wrap the inudction piping in it aswel for insulation mate

there is no place in the 1.2 8v mk2 engine bay to successfully put a induction kit from the top as heat rises and no air flow near rear of the bay...and if you move filter to front there isnt enough clearance from the manifold to allow cold air lol would bebetter with manifold at the rear and inlet at the front tbh (try turning engine around;) lmao) (y)

give me a link to this exact induction kit mate cos i want mine with the long piping to go over the rocker cover aswel :) cheers bud

I dont have it there any more, its located under the ABS pump/thing. best place is down next to the fog light, but that requires a lot of piping to get there. im not too fussed where it is, people can argue all day as to where is best, but im not in it for performance gains (y) just for sound and looks

Brin this is the link

I managed to locate mine behind the battery, dont think you really need a good airflow as it sucks air in rather than letting it drift in so aslong as the area is cool it will just keep pulling air in :)

I think the theory includes air replenishment. in an area where cold air is constantly cerculating, near the vents cold air is constantly refreshed at a high rate, where as in small areas its not so quick. but in fairness its a small punto, not that it matters.

However on the Corsa the air intake is actually connected to the front grill. meaning its got a constant airflow. but this is a CDTi so needs it.

Latest update.

decided to buy some "Guaranteed" CANBUS ERROR FREE 501 4x LED sidelights.

first apperances looked good, they had a built in resistor to stop the error light

THIS IS WHAT THE OLD SIDELIGHTS WERE LIKE. Very Pityful, especially seen as they were supposedly "ultra white"

THESE ARE THE NEW ONES, much brighter (y)

that sucks. u gunna send em back?

going to call them up on monday and see what they say. trying to find thier shop on Ebay to see what the returns policy says.

They arent specific Punto bulbs. but they are W5W 501 fit bulbs. so should be universal. and the error report on a FIAT is CANBUS if i remember correctly..

mate i bought the exact same bulbs lol they say no bulb error but in my old headlights they bought the error light on...now on me new headlights i tryed again and no error?? lmao

i tryed on in because i had the other for numberplate bulb so i have one ultra white led n one standard atm and no error lights on...i just ordered another set and ahve just come today...i will try fit the second one and see if light comes back on lol

i think try to turn the LED's around and they work tbh but not sure lol

i stand corrected i just fitted the other side one and yes it puts bulb wrning light on lol if you put one in its fine but as soon as you put 2 in warning light lol

oh well they look good and the warning light aint bothering me just like the green light that comes on to indicate headlights on tbh lol

I called Redline the company who i got the bulbs from, but never got an answer... oh well. look good anyway..

The car has been in the garage over the last day with a slight electrical fault...

the starter motor fell off... Literally...

Been having trouble with it for a few days not wanting to start the engine, the motor was turning but wasnt enguaging the engine, but eventually caught and started. Then last night in Selby town centre when i turned the engine over to attempt start i heard a thud. AA came out and look under the car, and the starter motor had come loose. (n)

Anyway, thought that now its working i would clean the car and remove the Focus Induction kit...

Seem to prefer the car without the induction, it rev's a lot more freely, the MPG is a lot better, only downside is the sound has disappeared, seems almost silent now.

Anyway, this is from 1 Days driving! All that mud in the space of 3 hours!!!! Thats what happens when your Girlfriend lives down a track at a Farm in the middle of no where... Fantastic Road though (y)
