Grande Punto New Grande Punto.

Introduction

Bought my new car Wednesday, love it! Was going to go for C2 VTS, though my mind soon changed the second I sat in it.

Does anybody have any ideas as to what I can do with regards to tints etc?

I want to avoid the chavy look (like my old corsa) but do want to modfy it.

Black mirrors? How dark should I get tints? Any ideas would be great! :D

if you say so

I don't say so, the entire car industry says so:

A sleeper or Q-car is a car that has high performance and an unassuming exterior.[1][2] Sleeper cars are termed such because their exterior looks little or no different from a standard or economy-class car.

But continue to be contrary if you wish, doesn't affect me. (y)

calm down lol

Hahaha now now ;) haha as much as I love the sleeper look, I couldn't make it look worse than standard. That being said, there is no 'st' badge on the grille and from the front, it looks pretty normal to be honest.

still obvious its an st though lol, i bet it feels well fast compared to your punto lol my mrs is looking at getting a mk1 focus rs next year :)

only thing is with mk1 is that the parts are hard and expensive to get hold of. I know a guy that sells tons (well he sold me mine anyway haha). thekingofcars.co.uk

Mate there is no comparison. The noise and how it feels. Really do have to watch the speedo. 60 comes and goes in no time!

Next month the wheels are getting refurbed and a bigger intercooler getting fitted ready for a few mods ;)

a place near me mate, very local. Not sure where you're based. There's also a place called 'metal magic' in Barnsley. Very good staff there. The place I'm going this time though is 'ap tyres'.

Think I'm going to have gun metal grey. They look nice in the pic, but aren't finished so don't shine. And it's a **** attempt to self spray too :(

cheers man they will look pucka when done :)

Just a few pics of how my car's getting on now (attached).

Mods so far:

Bryshifter quick shift
DSCI remap ~260 BHP
Bigger intercooler
Cylinders thickened to take more power (block mod)
Flyeye headlights
Zunsport Grilles
Side badges painted black with blue ST inserts
Diffuser/fog surrounds painted gloss black

Future:

15 September - Tailgate/front bumper respray
October - Full turbo back exhaust with sports cat. DSCI CAIS induction kit. Mod X remap. Possible RS clutch too.

10th November - wheel refurb

After this it should be a healthy 290 BHP then I'll work on handling as it handles like a boat!!

Putting to much power in a tight bend in a FWD will struggle for grip.

However in a long sweeping bend a independent sprung Focus would eat a Cinq for dust as it runs wide and overseers

the focuss do go well when tuned , but show them the twistes and they are baddd..... just ask the guy who had 320 bhp and couldnt catch my cinq in the bends ,,, but soon as the road was stright he was gone lol

Well you'd lose me mate because when I push it hard I feel like im being horrible to it haha.

But yeah, currently it does roll a bit. Hopefully suspension upgrade will sort that eventually.

I need to learn a whole lot more about oversteer etc etc
