lol i meant windows, but lights aswell. Heck may as well tint the whole car

I'm so confused, how come in pictures it looks red in some and then brown/ orange in others, have you had a paint job or something!?

As i said, looks great though, get the back windows tinted though

@justandy, i have the lights tinted a bit

not too certain about windows, think it may look chavy

@wilk0 - its just the light mate. in the dark the red looks orange.

Hi mate, ive just ordered the materials to spray my handles the same colour as the rest of the car, and i plan on doing them while there on the car, any tips would be much appreciated thanks sam

also, i must just add that patience while masking is absolutely essential to the best finish. it took me quite a while to mask the handles, but once done, all you could see was literally the handle. take look at that link

my tips:

1: mask everything even if its 4 feet away, the spray goes further than you think.

2: spend 90% of your time preparing, the painting should take minuites.

3: build the layers of paint up as slow as you can, nothing worse than getting orange peel or a paint drip

4. Make sure you laquer after wards. otherwise it will probably peel.

cheers for the advice going to try and get it done this weekend, how long did you give it betwwen coats then lacquer. did you wet and dry the handles to key into them to help the primer stick?

yeah i sanded them down. I think on the pages before someone was offering advice how to do it, I maybe wrong though...

if i remember I did the laquer the day after the actual colour spray.

Black gloss wingmirrors would complete the car i reckon, everything else is sorted!

Love the car mate! The painted callipers and drums look really good. What paint did you use to paint them?

just some stuff from halfords. Hammerite if i remember correctly. Not chipped or anything. Been great

it certainly does, the hammerite stuff i used from halfords is heatproof, although it doesnt say on the tin lol.

One sec ill have a look through and find what i used

edit: may have used halfords brake caliper paint but hammerite is fine, i used it on the drums
