Agreed.
Isn't it a Citroen C3 floorpan & the Peugeot 1.2 Pure tech engine, not for me anytime soon as it's too big so the whole Panda meaning has gone out the window & when you look at it nothing about it is Fiat apart from the badge, just a badge engineered C3

Stick an abarth engine in it and I might consider it, I've been looking for a new panda for 12 weeks and this doesn't really do it for me. I don't want an ev or an mhev yet, just a low mileage/1 owner 1.2.
Might be a switch to toyota and the aygo x at least I can buy this new with a petrol engine only, I had never even noticed one til about 6 weeks ago in the dealership but they are everywhere round here must see 15 a day now, mhev panda lucky to see 1 a week and that's usually on the fiat garage forecourt as I drive past.
I don't think fiat have any idea what their core customers want 38 years of panda ownership here and my 14 plate 49000 mile, 11 services panda is ready for the next 10 years plus hopefully, but for the Mrs its looking like an new aygo x if a decent 1.2 panda doesn't appear for sale soon.

I thought that my 18 plate Panda was going to last forever, how wrong I was 
that had just under 44k & it had 2 lots of airbag module issues, followed shortly after with body control module issues & also a potential evaporation cannister/purge valve issue all at the same time so I cut my losses & got rid of it whilst it was still worth something, I'm going old School now, simplicity & bangernomics at its finest I'm done with modern cars after that, too much unnecessary crap on them to go wrong I'd rather deal with a bit of rust here & there

I was sooo tempted to do likewise and buy this beautiful ‘78 BGT (for less than my recent s/h Panda buy) but then I thought about all the regular + ongoing work I’d have to be doing all the time, and accept I was a slave to my beautiful car!
Fortunately, I had to accept I don’t have the car skills to do this, or the commitment, or the tools etc (and paying a local independent would be prohibitive) and that I’d rather be doing other things.
Never underestimate the power of emotion with cars…

and no energy or strength left to do it , and, can't bend or get down to get under any more either, in my case. Soon it will be time to admit defeat and get a motorised washing machine..... I love most old British & Italian cars, I have a 1980 Mini as my "nice weather & show car" & the Panda was my daily driver, the Mini actually cost me more than the Panda did new from a main Fiat dealer. The problem is with cars of this age such as Mini's, MGB's, Fiat's etc nowadays is the bodgers that have been near them over the years patching them up, new panels over rusty old ones & lots of filler, also "professionals" that work on them mechanically that don't know their way around classic carsI was sooo tempted to do likewise and buy this beautiful ‘78 BGT (for less than my recent s/h Panda buy) but then I thought about all the regular + ongoing work I’d have to be doing all the time, and accept I was a slave to my beautiful car!

Agreed from what we see here. However release date is I believe 11th July 2024 so soon we will know, and I have seen some renderings from a normally reliable source that look far more appealing. I think my Fiat days are coming to a close though. If I wanted a PSA design any more I would have one, but not for me. I am hoping to persuade myMrs to allow one last Panda hooray if the Seat really is beyond recovery when we get it back other wise I need to decide what might be the future.

Id consider it then go and buy a Range Rover. Better at doing british weather when parked outside because it wont fit in my garage. LOL

Not something you'd have said 40 years ago. It's 3.7m and that's too large for my taste - may as well have a few more inches and a used Honda-E. Price ain't terrible (for a leccy) though.

Peugeot Abarth?
Prices announced today and the ePanda is good value. I've made overtures as I think that this may be the point at which our family goes primarily EV. The other one I'm interested in is the Hyundai Inster, which is a similar concept.
