General new fiat 500 pop, should i get blue and me

I ordered my fiat pop 1.2 on saturday and was wondering if it would be worth getting blue and me (have an iphone 3g),also if i did decide to get blue and me would it be too late seeing as i ordered it 3 days ago or could i ring and add it too the order.

If you can change the order def get the Blue and Me, you get the leather steering wheel which is way nicer than the plastic job. Obviously the media and phone side is good but the better steering wheel and some nice illuminated buttons really lifts the interior IMO

I dont know how the iPhone suits the B&M however so cant help with that im afraid!

Yes you should do it, the plastic wheel without controls is really nasty. The USB connection is such a great thing to have in a car, you may regret not having it. It's one of the only things I have specced.

You don't automatically get the leather steering wheel with Blue&Me. The leather steering wheel is a mandatory option (basically not an option!) with Blue&Me and costs £100. So in total, to get Blue&Me functionality it comes to £350 which includes the leather steering wheel.

I'm not bothered about Blue&Me. I find the phone capabilities quite clunky and the voice recognition near on broken. Plus iPod connectivity is hit and miss.

Voice recognition is always crappy - I have a system in my Honda which does not adapt to my voice as it is supposed to, but I have to adapt to it. So I have 'car names' for all the people in my phone book, which do not sound like actual names.

For example 'Mum & Dad' becomes 'MUMDAD'!

My voice control works fine never ever had a problem with it realising what im saying and I love how it asks "call so and so at home work or mobile" The media player could be better but its a nice thing to have regardless. And as I say if there is one thing I cannot stand its plastic steering wheels in modern cars......naaaasty.

I really like B&M and its one of the reasons I eventually went for the lounge instead of pop... I miss it in my other car! It 99% of the time understands what I say, including names from my phone book, reading out numbers and media functions. Worst thing it does is sometimes it thinks I say "genres" when I actually say "folders". But that could be my northern accent!

I just wanted to mention that although Blue&Me costs £250, you've got to budget an extra £100 for the steering wheel which is mandatory for B&M.

I agree about the USB port, it's ace. Great for memory sticks! It's one of the things I'm going to miss on the 100HP.

I agree... never even played a Cd in mine, and even tho our other car has a 5CD changer, it isnt a patch on my usb stick with loads of folders full of music on!

I love Blue & Me, the USB slot is a brilliant little feature and my phone works perfectly with it. I've got to get the microphone fixed though, it seems to have broken

B&M on the POP is £350 well spent. I use mine constantly to play music from memory sticks and the option to have voice activated dialing is excellent too.

I would not hesitate to add it again in preference to full ACC or even alloy wheels if cash was tight.

I spec'ed up my POP to have the stuff I wanted purely because I liked the seats two tone effect. However, you can now get the 1.2 stop start which may be a better choice because I believe it has Lounge toys and POP seats.

Options are a slippery slope - and you get nothing back for them at the end most likely. Just get the lounge and be done with it

I wanted the pop originally because I liked the 2 tone red seats, but because of little conveniences you get like the heated mirrors I ended up going Lounge and putting on leather seats in red. If I could have had the 2 tones in the lounge I wouldnt have bothered with leather, tho they do look the mutts. Spent a bit more than I originally intended but I want to keep the car for a longish period so it was worth pushing the boat out a bit for a higher spec.

Great system, It can understand my wife every time, something a mere mortal like me struggles to do at times
