Hi,
Just spent nearly £300 on new front tyres, disks and Pads for a 53 plate 1.6 elx multi, now the exhuast is blowing just on the point where the cat joins the pipe and after looking around it looks like I may have to have the whole exhaust replaced any ideas what I should be paying for a complete system.
Thanks Carl

Do a search on ebay for fiat exhaust. If you dont see your system listed you will find 'the fitting bay' in ebay shops. They will have one for sure, and it will be a good price. Give them a call when youve found their details. I did and got a deal I was very pleased with.

From experience of owning a large number of Saabs over the years and tuning some of them too, I would go with a full stainless exhaust and cat although I've no idea whether there are any suppliers who can do the whole kit in a decent grade of stainless steel.

My reason would be that if you intend to keep the car for the next 5 years or more, then it's likely that you'll end up buying two exhaust systems over that lifetime.

If longevity isn't your bag, then go for a regular exhaust.

Stainless systems do tend to be noisier for the first 2000miles, but then settle down to a lovely burble.

If you do choose this option, remember to keep your old CAT and take it to a scrappie. They'll pay between £60 - £80 for your old CAT.
