hi guys, the new e.c.u is on the way, should have my bravo hgt20v 155,back for nxt wenesday.fiat say i will have no keycode in the car, sence i only have 1 blue key and no red 1,they say its the only way for it to work.the imobiliser and key transbonder box will be removed from the car.hopefully this will end all the troule i have had for the last 8 months.has any one else out there done this or even heard about the keycode being removed form a car.??

All i know is that you can get the keycode deactivated, basically by dumbing down the ECU. What Fiat said was impossible is now possible. Think it costs £75 to have it done.

Atleast now the Red Key isn't as important as required, however you wont have an immobilisor anymore and the car will be more vunerable.

"however you wont have an immobilisor anymore and the car will be more vunerable"

true, but unless you put a sticker on it saying NO IMMOBILISER no-one will know.

So all the tea-leaves who know that bravos have immobilisers will be non the wiser and won't bother.

The professionals wouldn't be stopped by the immobiliser anyway

Unless you tell your insurance I don't suppose they could prove anything even if it did go walkies.

Hope everything goes well. You can get an aftermarket alarm fitted if you want.
