Thats interesting, Thanks.
I tried it - took out F33 (which is in the dashboard fusebox by the driver's right knee, middle row, farthest to the left, 7.5a)
I didn't notice any difference though - it was still charging ok - shown by the voltmeter I have fitted on my dashboard. But the yellow engine management light and start/stop inoperative symbol still came on after a few miles. Which is presumably because of my 4x100ah secondary batteries.
So I put the fuse back in again and again disabled the engine management light by erasing the codes. Which came on again after a few miles, which it always does as long as my secondary batteries are connected.
The only way I have found to stop the engine management light coming on is to disconnect the relay connecting the secondary batteries,
with my dashboard switch. Not a big problem because I can do that for the MOT, and put up with the engine management light on the rest of the time.
Would have been nice to find a way ro keep the engine management light off though.
I think I will leave the fuse in, because with 510ah of batteries I have plenty of spare capacity and can benefit from charging them by regenerative braking. Better for the environment and my pocket
Worth knowing though, because it may be helpful to someone with only one battery, so not much spare capacity, and needing to charge it fully every time.
So Thanks again.
